Looking for one to two people to serve as Committee Chair/Co-Chair for the Read to Suceed / Book Swap Committee.
A committee chair or co-chair will commit to:
• Represent the committee at a minimum 3 of the 8 yearly PTA meetings held on weekday evenings. In-person attendance by a chair or co-chair highly preferred, however, the corresponding Vice President can act as representative only if arrangements are made prior to the meeting.
• Attend a Committee Head meeting in September
• Create and submit “Plan of Work” to the PTA executive committee (vice-presidents and/or president) prior to beginning work on said committee plan. The plan must be approved for any spending to be reimbursed.
• Implement plan to reach your committee’s goal (e.g. host event, complete fundraiser, etc.)
• Work with the treasurer to stay within the committee budget and make deposits and payments in a timely manner
• Ask for and use feedback to improve upon program or event from year to year
• Involve PTA members and the MGIS community through meeting announcements, email updates and/or conversations.
